Terrorists Die of Plague!

According to the article pasted at the end of this blog post, an Al-Qaeda cell of about 40 terrorists was killed by the plague. According to the article - it was first thought the group got the plague from fleas on rats, but instead the cell was working on developing biological weapons.
At some point, diseased terrorists could go out through the population spreading this disease or another equally deadly disease. I suppose this would allow them to be considered martyrs for Allah.

I have been wondering what possible precautions might be taken by the general public to avoid getting sick or to find some natural help in case someone did get sick.

Have any of you read of anything specific to the plague?

I suppose things like medicinal mushrooms like those from New Chapter, Oregno oil, and grapefruit seed extract would be helpful.

And what about elderberry extract? I think elderberry is in Sambucol. That is supposed to be effective againsgt bird flu - but it is pretty expensive.

I also wonder if any of these things might be helpful with smallpox or anthrax- something else I have read terrorists are dabbling in.

Have any of you read anything that might be helpful?

Al-Qaeda cell killed by Black Death 'was developing biological weapons'
An al-Qaeda cell killed by the Black Death may have been developing biological weapons when it was infected, it has been reported.

Last Updated: 6:10PM GMT 20 Jan 2009
The group of 40 terrorists were reported to have been killed by the plague at a training camp in Algeria earlier this month.
It was initially believed that they could have caught the disease through fleas on rats attracted by poor living conditions in their forest hideout.
But there are now claims the cell was developing the disease as a weapon to use against western cities.
Experts said that the group was developing chemical and biological weapons.
Dr Igor Khrupinov, a biological weapons expert at Georgia University, told The Sun: "Al-Qaeda is known to experiment with biological weapons. And this group has direct communication with other cells around the world.
"Contagious diseases, like ebola and anthrax, occur in northern Africa. It makes sense that people are trying to use them against Western governments."
Dr Khrupinov, who was once a weapons adviser to the Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev, added: "Instead of using bombs, people with infectious diseases could be walking through cities."
It was reported last year that up to 100 potential terrorists had attempted to become postgraduate students in Britain in an attempt to use laboratories.
Ian Kearns, from the Institute for Public Policy Research, told the newspaper: "The biological weapons threat is not going away. We're not ready for it."

Ashes From Your Past Hold the Beginning of Your Bright Future

Her dreams were all shattered. Her life was a shambles. Nothing had worked out the way she wanted it to. Her husband was in prison. Their home had been repossessed. She was driving a twenty year old vehicle with a dent in one side. Her hair was greying. Her face was wrinkling; and she was forty pounds overweight. Her life was definitely over. Only ashes were left. She was still breathing, but sometimes she wondered what was the point.

His life was over. Well, at least it was over the way it was. His wife left him. His business failed. His pet turtle died. He moved back in with his parents, and then even their rose bushes all got a blight. There was nothing left of his old life but ashes. He was still breathing, but he failed to see the point of his existence.

These two people thought everything was over and done with. They thought nothing in their future could come close to the joy and good things of their pasts. Figuratively speaking, they were living in the ash heap of the ruins of their pasts. Not one dream or accomplishment was left standing.

Fortunately for them, they had forgotten something important. Ashes are very important to successful composting. It takes good compost to grow strong plants. The beginnings of a blessed and bright future was forming in the compost from their pasts.

David and Bathsheba are examples of people whose lives were in shambles because of their sins. They had really messed up big time. I mean, how much more messed up can you get than adultery and murder? Then their baby died. You would think that with all that had happened, they might not have even wanted that baby, but they did want it; and they were heartbroken when it died.

Bathsheba was an adulteress and a widow.

David was still king, but his image was tarnished to say the least. First he doesn't even go to battle with his army. Then he steals a good soldier's wife (Uriah). Then he has the Uriah murdered. You know that really inspired the people to love their king! (not)

These two people were definitely standing in the ash heap of their past lives.

THEN - the ashes began to compost. Compost makes rich soil. A new life began to grow out of the mess they had made of their past lives.

Eventually, David and Bathsheba had a son named Solomon. Bathsheba the adulteress became the mother of the next king of Israel. David the king prayed to God, 'restore to me the joy of my salvation.' His walk with God was restored. The consequences of his sin didn't go away, but he did continue as king until he died.

Are you in an 'ashes' stage of your life? Maybe you messed up your life like David and Bathsheba did. Maybe someone else messed it up for you. Regardless, you are the one suffering now. You may be the one paying the price for mistakes and circumstances beyond your control.

Today is the day to hope in God. From the ashes of your past life spring the seeds for your future. If you want the ashes of your past to turn into high grade compost in a hurry, do what David did. Pray to God, 'Restore unto me the joy of my salvation.' (Psalm 51:12)

To have that prayer answered required that David throw himself into the word of God with his whole heart. God used David's repentance to draw David closer to Him.

I don't know what situation you are in. Maybe you are the one like David who needs to repent of sin to start the composting process. Maybe you are someone like Uriah's family. You need to forgive an evil done to you before you can start the 'ashes to compost' process. Don't stay mired in the ash heap of dissappointment and sorrow. Set your face to seek God today, and be surprised by how much joy is in your tomorrow.

God bless you.

Hope for a Good Future is in God - Not the Government

At their very best, elected officials are terrifying people.

They are supposed to do what is right and best for the people they represent within the boundaries of 'what is right according to God Almighty'.

Instead, they forget God, and they forget the people they are supposed to represent. They do what is right in their own eyes. They do what will benefit themselves most of all. For most politicians, their main concern is getting re-elected. For a few, their agenda is far greater in scope than getting re-elected. It is changing the world into the image of man. This group is only to happy to help anyone get elected or re-elected who will go along with their agenda. That is how the current liberal government came about.

The United States has a cesspool of terrifying elected officials. Thievery and corruption are the standards by which they live. They continually call evil good and good evil.

It looks like the American way of life is done for. Those who work will support a growing number of those who don't work. Laws will only apply to those who oppose the socialist agenda of politicians. Politicians believe they have the right to do wrong in order to bring about their own version of right. Everything is relative to their own selfish desires and personal gain. There is no truth that is above what is in their own evil hearts.

There is no way to escape the downward spiral brought about by their corruption and greed

UNLESS...... You simply stop focusing on the current government and instead focus on the Lord God Almighty!

The Bible says, 'The fear of man bringeth a snare; but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.' Proverbs 9:25

It is time for Christians to change their focus from elected officials to the God of our salvation. It is time to put our trust in the Lord. This is the path to true safety. This is a better way to live than continually worrying about the agenda of those in Washington.

When a new administration goes into the White House, people tend to look to the government to save them if their candidate is the one going in. If it is not their candidate going into the White House, they tend to look to God to save them. It is better to look to God for salvation ALL the time regardless of who is currently in power. The Lord does not change. Jereiah 29:11 is true for us today just as it was true when Jeremiah wrote it. It says;

'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.'

Matthew Henry's Bible Commentary explains that verse like this.

'We often do not know our own minds, but the Lord is never at an uncertainty. We are sometimes ready to fear that God's designs are all against us; but as to his own people, even that which seems evil, is for good. He will give them, not the expectations of their fears, or the expectations of their fancies, but the expectations of their faith; the end he has promised, which will be the best for them.' christnotes.org

To put your trust in the Lord, or to grow your faith in God, requires that He be first in your line of vision. Look at God before you look at the failings of the government. Look at God before you look at the problems in your own life, family, church, or job.

Then, you will find that whatever man or circumstance you may fear is just a small potato in the scheme of things.
Your trust in God will grow.
Your discernment will grow.
Your joy in the Lord will grow.
Your life will be better altogether.

God bless you.
