Treason Against the Governor of the Nations -

When running for president Obama said the United States is no longer a Christian nation. We can only vote in presidential elections once every 4 years, but we can 'vote' for the God of Creatiion every day by living our lives according to His instructions.

Rebellion Against the Governor of the Nations

In Iraq a Marine is removed from duty for passing out ‘coins’ with a Christian message on them. Possibly, the Marine was like the Psalmist who wrote Psalm 9. Verses 2-3 day, ‘I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even for good; and my sorrow was stirred. My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue.’

I doubt the Marine could help himself. He tried to keep silent. But then he saw the need of the people for The Savior. His heart would not let him ignore the people in need. He had to try to do something to help them find Jesus Christ. He passed out the coins. Moslems protested. He has been removed from duty. God bless him and help him. His concern is probably still for the lost souls of Iraq.

It is a sad fact that Christian soldiers are forbidden from telling proselytizing any religion, faith or practices. (worthynews.com) The military is putting the governors of men above the Governor among the nations.

In Houston, Texas, an “Islamic Awareness’ presentation replaced a PE class. It was required. Parents were not notified. There was no option to allow students to avoid attending the class. The Islamic evangelists at the meeting taught them that:

Adam, Noah, and Jesus are prophets.
There is one god, and his name is Allah.
The 5 pillars of Islam.
How to pray five times a day.
Islamic religious garb. (worldnetdaily.com)

The public schools have gone beyond tolerance of infidels to blatant discrimination against Christianity. Their administrators are in direct rebellion against the Governor among nations.

My son and daughter were homeschooled. They were taught a basic knowledge of all the worlds religions and how they differ from Christianity. I wanted to raise literate children, but I also knew they MUST have knowledge of false teachings in order to understand why it was false. In the school case mentioned above, Islam was presented as the truth. If Islam is true, then Christianity is automatically a lie. They cannot BOTH be true. Christians and Moslems do not serve the same God (god). Christians and Moslems will not spend eternity in the same place. Moslems will spend eternity with Allah. Christians will spend eternity with Jesus Christ.

I would like to take a minute here to warn ALL parents that it is YOUR duty to teach your children WHAT you believe, WHY you believe, and WHERE the differences are in your faith and that of Moslems, Hindus, New Agers, Pagans, Animists, and any other ‘religion’ of the day. Then teach them that God does not allow ANY changes to His word under any circumstances. Teach them the justice of our God, who made even ONE way into heaven. Teach them that the One Way, through Jesus Christ, is sufficient for all who will come to Him. If you don’t ground them in their faith, it might only take one session with an Islamic evangelist to convince them that Islam is a better way. Remember that the public school ideology is that Islam is important enough to get special education time in school, and Jesus Christ is so unimportant He is banned from school entirely. In fact, His name isn’t even supposed to be spoken on school grounds. If you don’t fill your child’s head with truth, someone else will fill it with lies.

Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, is on a mission to unite world religions. He thinks it would be wonderful to get Christians, Jews, and Moslems united in a program like providing bed nets to stop the spread of malaria. Since malaria is responsible for millions of deaths each year, this is a worthy goal. And, getting the religions of the world working together toward a worthy goal is bound to generate at least a small amount of unity between the religions. Saving lives by controlling malaria is certainly a worthy goal. However, 2 Corinthians 6:14 says, ‘Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness?’ Matthew 28:19 instructs Christians to, ‘Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:.’ It does not instruct us to unite the religions of the world.

Of course Christians are supposed to help the sick and needy. However, we should not lightly cast aside our explicit instructions not to join together with unbelievers. Our God is sufficient to help us help others. The Bible gives an example of those who relied on the strength of kings instead of God in 2 Kings 18:21.

Christians are supposed to rely on our God, who is governor among the nations. Psalm 22:28 says, ‘For the kingdom is the LORD’s: and he is the governor among the nations. Christians today don’t acknowledge the power of our God. Why do we expect God to help us when Christians continually look to the world around them for help? We rely on the kings of the earth to save us. But, if they don’t help us, we have a back up plan. We will call on the name of the Lord! Whatever the problem is, we can always call on God if nothing else works.

The world today does not acknowledge that it is the Lord God Almighty of the Bible who is King over all the kings of the earth. There is a dire consequence to ignoring God. Hosea 5:15 says, ‘I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.’

The inhabitants of the earth are in rebellion against the Governor among the nations. They are in rebellion against the God who created them and formed them. It appears to some that God is ignoring His creation. It isn’t that God is ignoring us. He wants Christians to acknowledge their offenses against Him. That means personal offenses and national offenses. God wants the individual Christian to change what is bothering Him in his or her life. THEN we can approach God and ask Him to change what is bothering us in the world around us.

It is the Christian nations that stand out in particular as being in rebellion against the Governor of the Nations because we are HIS children. When my son and daughter were small, I noticed what the children around us were doing, but my main concern was the behavior of MY kids. When they were good, I was happy. When they misbehaved, I was VERY unhappy; and I corrected them. How I corrected them depended on how they responded. I did what ever it took to get their attention. That did include a real spanking on a few occasions.

The Governor of the Nations is getting the attention of His children right now. The hand of God’s protection and blessings is being withdrawn from Christian nations. Evil is advancing. Christians are retreating.

Christians use the lack of faithful Godly leaders as an excuse for the sorry state of affairs in the world. Yet, God is the Governor among the nations. He is righteous. He is PERFECT. I believe God’s priority is the rebellion of His own children. This doesn’t mean He isn’t concerned with the lost of the world. The thing is, in order to present the gospel in a powerful way; the children of God need to have set aside childish things and act like grown up followers of Jesus Christ.

To behave as though the governors of earthly nations are in charge is to give God’s glory to another. This is sin! This is rebellion against God! It has dire consequences for both the earthly governor and the people. Acts 12:23 says, ‘and immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.’ This is speaking of Herod who had set up a day to give a speech to the people. After hearing Herod’s speech, the Bible tells us, ‘And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of god, and not of man.’ (v22) And that was when Herod was destroyed. Specifically, Herod was eaten by worms. Is that what is happening to the nations of the world today? Are we looking to political and spiritual leaders to ‘save us”? Could you describe the moral decay in our nations as ‘being eaten by worms’? (Herod’s death was literal. I am of course speaking in the figurative.)

Obviously, Herod wanted the worship of the people. Perhaps the governors of the world today don’t actually want to be worshiped as a god, but Christians do them a grave disservice by looking to them as the first line of help. The president of the United States is a subject of the Most High God of creation. The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom is a subject of the Most High God of creation. The leaders of the EU, the UN, OPEC, CFR, and every other powerful organization are but men. They are subject to the God who created them. Some of them are His children by adoption. Many are followers of lies and their own lusts, but they are ALL subject to God Almighty. For them to gather and form plans for the future without consulting God is rebellion. What earthly king would allow his subordinates and assistants to set policies without even consulting him?

According to Psalm 121:2, ‘My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.’ The Lord is Governor among the nations.

Christians today are at a place of decision. Will we continue in rebellion against God? Will we continue looking to the earthly leaders instead of God for help and deliverance? The ungodly will always be in rebellion against God. But, we Christians should not be following after their folly and committing treason against our God. If we truly are Christians, then we owe unconditional allegiance to God. Will we continue to give God’s glory to men and women who will die just like the rest of us?

OR

Will we choose to humble our hearts before and God and ask Him to guide us, direct us, and keep us safe through the perilous times in which we live? Will we acknowledge in meekness that we are helpless, but that through the power of our God we are unstoppable? Will we try to claim God’s glory by doing things on our own in our own way, or begin to do things according to His word? Will we study God’s word so we are not only able to know the truth, but able to teach the truth to others?

The song for this article is ‘To God Be the Glory’. It is God who raised up the mighty nations throughout history. I saw a TV commercial recently that said something like, ‘The strength of this nation (the USA) has always been its men and women.’ That is blatantly untrue. The strength of the United States has never been that the people were harder workers or better people than any where else in the world. Our strength has been that this has been a nation in which the people gave God the glory. Our ancestors looked to God to save them. That was it. Period. As a nation takes God’s glory for themselves, the nation begins to decay, as though worms were eating its foundation.

Barak Obama is quoted on World Net Daily as saying ‘this is no longer a Christian nation’. He wants policies made that are inclusive and acceptable to all faiths. America is a house divided. Luke 11:17 says, ‘But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.’ America is definitely a house divided, as are all the former mighty Christian nations of the world.

Yet, there is hope. The Bible also says in Psalm 33:12, ‘Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. This is not a ‘policy’ that can be set by the government or the current political party in control. This is a decision that must be made in the hearts of the individual citizens of each nation. In the United States, there are enough professing Christians to still call this a Christian nation. What is lacking is that Christians in general do not follow the teachings of the Bible with their whole hearts. Their Christianity does not show in how they live their lives. Today is the day for the individual Christian to choose to actually do the things the Bible says to do. In Luke 6:46 Jesus said, ‘And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Christians, live your lives in a way that gives God the glory. Follow 2 Corinthians 6:17 which says, ‘Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.’ Americans, you can cast one vote in every election, but you can ‘vote’ every day to give God the glory by living your life according to his instructions.

Thank you for reading my article. God bless you.

To God Be the Glory
http://cyberhymnal.org/htm/t/o/togodbe.htm

To God be the glory, great things He has done;
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the life gate that all may go in.
Refrain
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory, great things He has done.
O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
Refrain
Great things He has taught us, great things He has done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.
